Kids 'n Christ - FBC Ellington

A fun, energetic ministry for kids preschool age through 5th grade. At Kids ‘n Christ, dinner is provided for all kids, and kids participate in worship together, as well as Bible lessons and games….including the bounce house! This ministry seeks to provide kids with a fun evening focused on learning about Christ through the study of God’s word.

Kids ‘n Christ is held on Wednesdays from 6-7:45 PM.

Kids ‘n’ Christ & FBC Youth Rules and Expectations
1. The use of any profanity or inappropriate language is not allowed at any time or for any reason on church property. If a child/student is heard using profanity or bad language, they will be ineligible to participate in that night’s game or activity. If the game or activity has been completed, the student will be made to sit by an adult for the remainder of the night.

2. Roughhousing of any kind or for any reason is prohibited. If children/students are involved in pushing/shoving or other forms of roughhousing, they will be separated for the remainder of the night, they will be ineligible to participate in that night’s game or activity, and they will be made to sit by an adult for the remainder of the night.

3. Fighting is prohibited. If a child/student strikes another child/student, they will be sent home and suspended from participating in Kids ‘n’ Christ or FBC Youth events for one week. In the event of a second offense, that student will be expelled from participating in Kids ‘n’ Christ or FBC Youth events. In the event that a student makes malicious physical contact with an adult, that student will be sent home and be expelled from Kids ‘n’ Christ or FBC Youth activities.

4. It is required that the children/students be respectful toward their leaders. This requirement includes obedience to the instructions of the leaders throughout the night. This requirement prohibits students from engaging in rude, disobedient, or disrespectful behavior of any kind, whether it be verbal or nonverbal. Failure to treat leaders with respect will be handled according to the discretion of the leaders, and could result in the child/student being sent home.

5. It is required that the children/students be respectful toward the church facilities and property. Any intentional harm done to church property or facilities could result in the child/student being sent home and their parents/guardians reimbursing the church for the damage done by their child. By signing this agreement, you agree to take financial responsibility for any damage done by your child to the facilities/property of FBC Ellington, whether intentional or the result of a failure to obey instructions.

6. FBC Youth (6th-12th grade) will participate in a number of off-campus events throughout the school year. These events are a privilege that is offered to the students, but must be earned with good behavior and participation. Failure to consistently keep the rules stated in this document could result in a student being prohibited from participating in one or more events, and these decisions are made by the youth leaders at their discretion.
