On this date in 1517, Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses and sparked what is known as the Protestant Reformation. Through this movement, God used faithful men like Luther, Tyndale, Calvin, and Knox to reclaim the Gospel from the idolatrous grip of Rome. The motto of the Reformation became “Post Tenebras Lux”, meaning “After darkness, light”. By the grace of God the Gospel of Christ was preserved through the dark ages of Rome and became the spark that ignited a worldwide movement in the form of the Reformation. Praise the Lord! He has brought us out of darkness and into the light of His Son, Jesus Christ!
